සාඛා·නගරය, n. branch or subordinate city, suburb, උපනගරය, පිටනුවර.

සකෘදාගාමි, a. (සකෘත් once, ආගමි coming), pert. to the second of the four stages in the path to Nirvàna, viz, having only one more incarnation. The four stages are, සෝවාන්, සකෘදාගාමි, අනාගාමි and අර්‍හත්.

සු·බුද්ධියෙන්, ad. with good sense, intelligently, නැණවත්ලෙස.

සරෝ·ජය, n. (සරස්, ජ), lotus, see සරසිජය.

සියුම්කම, n. fineness &c., සිහින්කම &c.

සුර්‍ය්‍ය·නිර්‍වෘතිය, n. solstice: සුර්‍ය්‍ය·දක්‍ෂිණ·නිර්‍වෘතිය, southern solstice, සූය්‍යෝත්තර·නිවෘතිය, northern solstice.

සත්තකකරනවා, v.t. to make certain, asanre, certify, confirm.

සපනවා, v. t. to bite, chew, see හපනවා, pret. සැපුවා; v. n. සැපීම.

සැදුම, n. adorning, ornamenting, ornament, සැරසුම.

සය, n. hunger, බඩගින්න, famine, සාගතය, සාය.
