සුර·පිතෘ, n. divine father: ap. of මහාබ්‍රහ්මයා.

ස·ලකුණුකරනවා, v. to put a mark on, mark, sign; delineate.

සොමි·දින, n. Monday, සඳුදා.

ස්ථෙය, a. fr. ස්ථා: that should be fixed or decided, පිහිටුවියයුතු, නියමකළයුතු.

සීනමුල්, n. (සීන T. for වීන), a medicinal root called china root, see චීනමුල්.

සදස්, n. pl. or a. of සදස and of සදැස, which see.

සන්‍ධ්‍යා පූජාව, n. R. C., evening sacrifice, vespers, සවස්පූජාව, සවස් යාච්ඤාව.

සංඛ·මුණ්ඩකය, n. (·මුඩ් to shave, bare), conch-shaving or baring, viz. one of the thirty-two punishments inflieted on criminals, rubbing the head with gravel till it is as bare of flesh as a conch shell.

සාත්ත්‍වක, a. (fr. සතත්‍ව), spontaneous, ස්වජ, E. S.; sincere, අවංක.

සකෘදාගාමි, a. (සකෘත් once, ආගමි coming), pert. to the second of the four stages in the path to Nirvàna, viz, having only one more incarnation. The four stages are, සෝවාන්, සකෘදාගාමි, අනාගාමි and අර්‍හත්.
