එ, n. The eleventh letter of the alphabet: a pure short vowel having the sound of e as heard in met. Its non-initial form (‍ෙ) is written before the consonant it vocalizes, as ‍දෙන් den, මෙන් men.

එරෙහි, a. displeased, vexed, angry, අප්‍රසන්න, තරහ.

එච්චර, a. so much, so many, එපමණ.

එක් තලය, n. one surfcce; drum with one end only; fig. concord, unison, එකමුතුකම.

එළු දෙන, n. fem. she-goat, ewe.

එළි සමවෙනවා, v. i. to rhyme, to rhyme.

එළු සන්, n. goat-bleating; in Central province, whistling.

එවැන්නක්, n. such a thing as that.

එළිවෙනවා, v. i. to become light, dawn; come to light, become known.
