අල්පකම, n. fewness &c., ස්වල්පකම &c.

අ පාත්‍ර, a. (අ priv., පාත්‍ර, suitable), unsuitable, unfit, common, mean, නුසුදුසු.

අති ක්‍රමිකවෙනවා, v. i. to become excessive, exceed, &c., see adj., ඉතා වැඩිවෙනවා.

අටඟ මග, n. (අට, අග portion, section), the eightfold way to Nirvāna, i. e. the way embracing eight sections, viz. — 1. සම්‍යක් දෘෂ්ටිය, right view, orthodoxy. 2. සම්‍යක් සංකල්පනාව, right volition or determination. 3. සම්‍යක් වචනය, right speech. 4. සම්‍යක් කර්‍මන්තය, right action. 5. සම්‍යක් ආජීවය, right living or livelihood. 6. සම්‍යක් ව්‍යායාමය, right effort. 7. සම්‍යක් සමෘතිය, right remembrance or contemplation of the past. 8. සම්‍යක් සමාධිය, right meditation.

අස් පන්තිය, n. col. for අශ්වපංකතිය: lot or troop of horses.

අ ශිල, a. rude, vulgar, ill-behaved, immoral, ශිලනැති, අනාචාර.

අව පාතය, n. descent, බැසීම, fall, වැටීම; pitfall, පෙතිවළ.

අකර තැබ්බේ, n. See අකට තැබ්බේ.

අභ්‍යාසය, n. practice, exercise in order to learn, praxis, පුහුණු කරගැනීම.

අධි රාජ, n. emperor, universal emperor, අගරජ.
