ඒකායනය, n. (අයනය), the one road, viz. to නිර්‍වාණය.

ගාමි, suf. signifying, going to, frequenting, as නිර්‍වාණගාමි going to Nirvāna.

නව·ලෝකෝත්තරධර්‍ම, n. pl. (ලෝක උත්තර), the nine world-eminent doctrines, viz. those relating to the four stages or courses of purification with their four fruitions and Nirvána. The four courses &c. are: සෝවාන් මාර්‍ගය and ඵලය, සකෘදාගාමි මාර්‍ගය and ඵලය, අනාගාමි මාර්‍ගය and ඵලය, අර්‍හත් මාර්‍ගය and ඵලය and නිර්‍වාණය. See each term.

නි·රෝධ·මාර්‍ගය, n. the way or means of final emancipation, නිර්‍වාණමාර්‍ගය.

නි·රෝධය, n. final emancipation, annihilation, නිර්‍වාණය, නැතිවීම.

නිර්‍වාණය, n. the state so called, the cessation of all desire and of re-existence, extinction, annihilation, the goal of Buddhism.

නිවන, n. E. of නිර්‍වාණය.

පරි·නිබ්බාන, පරි·නිර්‍වාණය, n. full Nirvāna: see නිර්‍වාණය.

මහෝදය, n. (මහා උදය), the great dawn or blessedness, viz. final beatitude in the attainment of නිර්‍වාණය; abandoning, අත්ඇරයාම, getting free, මිදීම.

මෝක්‍ෂය, n. liberation, final emancipation or freedom from transmigration, the state of Nirvàna, නිර්‍වාණය, නිවනය.

යෝග·ක්‍ෂේමය, n. (යෝග religious meditation; profit, ක්‍ෂේම happiness), the result or profit of religious meditation, viz. නිර්‍වාණ්‍ය; insurance or charge on goods, profit made by sale &c, ඵල ප්‍රයෝජනය.

රහත්·කෙනෙක්, n. B., one who has subdued all ක්ලේශ, and so is free from further transmigration and prepared for නිර්‍වාණය; pl. රහත්වරු.

සරණ, n. refuge, ap. of නිර්‍වාණය.

සිද්ධි, n. accomplishment, fulfilment, completion, success, ඉෂ්ටවීම, සිද්ධවීම, සඵලත්‍වය; occurrence, event, effect, සිද්ධවුදේ; Nirvana, නිර්‍වාණය.

සුද්ධාවාසය, n. (ආවාසය abode), holy abode, the name of each of six Brahma worlds where residence is the stage immediately preceding නිර්‍වාණය.
