ප්‍රාති·මෝක්‍ෂ·සංවර·ශිලය, n. observance of Buddha's ordinances contained in the ප්‍රාතිමෝ ක්‍ෂය.

ප්‍රාතිමෝක්‍ෂය

ප්‍රාතිමෝක්‍ෂය, n. (pro-liberation), the name given to a collection of the various precepts contained in the Vinaya Pitaka. These precepts are read twice a month in every monastery, and individual priests are invited to make confession if they have broken any of the precepts read out. P. පාති මොක්‍ඛ.

When any one of these has been committed it must be confessed before the සංඝයා or assembly of priests, who then award the punishment due.
