අ ඥාන ගෝචර, a. accordant with folly, suitable for or accepted by the ignorant, foolish.

අ පරී ගෘහීත, a. unaccepted, unassented to, නොපිළිගන්නලද.

අ ප්‍රති ගෘහණිය, a. not to be accepted, unacceptable, පිළිගැනීමට නොසෑහෙන.

අධි වාසනය, n. perfuming the person, සුවඳ ගැල් වීම; acceptance. පිළිගැනීම; residing, වාසය කෙරීම.

අධි වාසනාකරනවා, v. t. to accept, පිළිගන්නවා; take charge of, භාරගන්නවා; tolerate, ඉව සනවා

අනාදානය, a. (අන් ආදානය), not taking, non-acceptance, නොගැනීම, පිළිනොගැනීම.

අනුමෝදනාව, අනුමෝදන්, n. participation of or satisfaction with the joy or merit acquired, B. P. acceptance of and thanks for offerings made, with benediction also.

ආ දානය, n. taking, ගැනීම, acceptance, පිළිගැ නීම; symptom, රෝග ලකුණ.

ඉවසනවා, v. t. to endure patiently, tolerate, bear with; accept, පිළිගන්නවා; pret. ‍ඉවසුවා; v.n. ඉවසීම.

එපා, part. (probably from ඒ පහ – that aside): signifying with first pers. dat. case, not wanted, will not accept; with 2nd pers. nom. case as an auxiliary after the infinitive mood it is prohibitive, as උඹ or උඹලා යන්ට එපා, Go thou or ye not.

ඒත්තුගන්නවා, v. t. to accept, assent, acknowledge, own.

ඒත්තුගැනීම, v. n. accepting &c.

කොට, p. pl. of කරනවා, for කර; as adv., as: මිත්‍රයෙක්කොට පිළිගත්තා. accepted (him) as a friend.

ගන්නවා, v. t. to take, accept; buy. Used also with the p. pl. of another verb to express the reflexive sense or that the action is done to or for one's self or mutually, as ඔහු ගෙයක් සාදාගත්තා. He built himself a house; ඔවුන් කථාකරගත්තා. They conversed together; pret. ගත්තා; p. pl. ගන or ගෙන; v. n. ගැනීම.

ගන්නවා, v. c. to cause to take or accept; pret. ගැන්නෙවුවා or ගැන්නුවා v. n. ගැන්වීම.
