අභි ඥාත, a. ascertained, known, දැන‍‍‍ගනතිබෙව, දන්නාලද, අභිඥානය, අභිඥාව n profound or sp. or extraordinary knowledge, cognition, recognition, විශේෂ දැනගැන්ම or දැනීම; five supernatural acquirements of Rahats, viz. power to assume any form, to hear the feeblest sounds and see objects at any distance, to know the disposition and thoughts of others, to know the condition of any person in former existences.

ඇඳිනගැනීම, ඇඳිනීම, v. n. becoming acquainted with, recognition.

ඇඳිනීම, v. n. of අඳුනනවා: recognizing, recognition, being acquainted with.

දැනීම, දැනුම, n. perceiving, perception, cognition, conciousness, feeling, sense.

පංච·ස්කන්‍ධ, n. pl. the five divisions or constituents of man: රූපස්කන්‍ධය &c., viz, රූපය, the body; වේදනාස්කන්‍ධය, feeling, perception; සංඥාස්කන්‍ධය, bare recognition or apprehension; සංස්කාරස්කන්‍ධය, moral or mental state, as of covetousness or doubt &c. to the number of fifty different states; විඥනස්ක න්‍ධය, knowledge, consciousness. The five are divided into two parts, නාම and රූප, of which four ස්කන්‍ධ, portions, belong to නාමය or the mind.

ප්‍රත්‍යභිඥාතය, n. recognition, ඇඳිනීම.

සං·විත, n. (විද් to know), knowledge, intellect, දැනගැම්ම, බුද්ධි; means of recognition, viz. name, appellation, නාමය, mark, sign, signal, ලකුණ, සංඥාව; promise, පොරොන්දුව.

සඦානනය, n. information, knowledge of, cognition, දැනුම, ජානනය.
