අෂ්ට දුෂ්ට ක්ෂණ, n. pl. the eight evil moments or occasions, viz. to be born 1 in hell, 2 as an animal, 3 as a goblin, 4 in the two Brahma worlds where neither body nor mind exists, 5 in outer or distant countries where Buddhism is not, 6 with the five senses perverted or confused, 7 as a pagan, 8 in a Buddhaless age.

ක්‍රව්‍යාදයා, n. (අද් to eat), flesh-eater, carnivorous animal; goblin, ‍රාක්ෂසයා.

කාම භවය, n. a state in which desire exists, viz. hell, as a beast, a goblin, ප්‍රේත, an Asura or Titan, අසුර, the human world or any one of the six divine worlds.

පස්·ගති, n. pl. the five conditions into one of which man passes at death: he either becomes a god, a man again, a goblin, ප්‍රේථ, an animal, තිරිසන්, or a being of hell, නිරි සතා.

ප්‍රේත·‍ලෝකය, n. world or region of disembodied spirits or goblins.

ප්‍රේතකම, n. condition or conduct of a goblin; low vileness, නීච කැතකම.

ප්‍රේතයා, n. ghost, goblin, sprite, manes; fig. filthy person, කැතයා.

ප්‍රේති, n. fem. female sprite or goblin.

පාංශු·පිශාචයා, n. filth-goblin, said to frequent dunghills and cemeteries and feed on filth and dead bodies.

පිණ්ඩකයා, n. goblin, demon, රක්‍ෂසයා.
