අ විශේෂ, a. not special or characteristic, undistinguishing, not differing, ordinary: see අවිශිෂ්ට.

අ විශේෂය, n. a non-characteristic, what does not differ, සාමාන්‍ය එකක්.

අ විශේෂිත, a. unmarked, uncharacterised, undistinguished, විශේෂ ලකුණක් නැති, සාමාන්‍ය.

අංග ලක්ෂණය, n. personal beauty, රූපලක්ෂණය; bodily characteristic.

අනු ව්‍යඦන, n. pl. (අනු secondary), minor marks or characteristics (see අශීත්‍යනුව්‍යඦන).

අශිත්‍යනු ව්‍යඤජන, n. pl. (අශිති අනු)the eighty minor characteristics of Buddha, as, well-shaped fingers &c., කුඩා ලක්ෂණ අසූව.

අසූ ව්‍යජන ලක්ෂණ, n. pl. (ව්‍යජන characteristic): see අශීත්‍යනුව්‍යඤජන.

උප ලක්ෂණය, n. helping or minor indication or characteristic: as a synecdoche when a part is put for the whole or a quality for the substance.

උප ලක්ෂිත, a. marked by, characterised or distinguished by, possessed of, යුක්ත.

උපාධිය, n. virtuous reflection; disguise, වේ ශය; title, නම, පටබැඳිනම; characteristic, විශේෂගුණය.

කරවිල, a sp. of gourd, the fruit of which is used for curry, Momordica Charantia (Cucurbit.).

කාල විශේෂය, n. special time, characteristic of the time.

තත්‍වාකාර, n. according with the reality, characteristic, realistic.

තත්‍වාකාරයෙන්, ad. according to reality, characteristically.

ත්‍රි·වර්‍ග, n. pl. three kinds (of anything); sp. three objects that are pursued: love, duty and wealth; three conditions or states: progress, stationariness and decline; three characters: purity, ignorance and wickedness.
