අ චේතන, අ චේතනික, අ චේතසික, අ චේතසක, a. destitute of mind or thought, සිහිබුද්ධි නැති; unconscious, දැනීමනැති; inanimate, lifeless, පණනැති; involuntary, involitive (mood, &c.), ඉබේ වෙන්නාවූ, අකර්‍මක.

අ ජීව, a. lit. lifeless, dead, පණනැති; ugly, hideous, grim, horrible, disfigured, විරූප, ඉතා අවලක්ෂණ.

අ ජීවික, අ ජීවී, a. lifeless, dead, පණනැති, මළ.

අ ප්‍රාණිකතාව, n. lifelessness, පණනැතිකම.

අ ප්‍රාණී, අ ප්‍රාණික, a. lifeless, inanimate, පණ නැති.

අටොත්, a. raised, lifted up, ඔසවනලද, උස්වූ.

අඩ පණ, partial life or state of being half dead.

අණය, n. life, පණ, ජීවනය.

අධි ගමනය, අධි ගමය, n. fig. the higher journey or saintly life which leads to Arhatship and Nirvāna; acquisition; study, knowledge.

අධි ගමාන්තර්‍ධාන යුගය, n. (අන්තර්‍ධාන) age when the higher or saintly life has disappeared for want of a manifest Buddha.

අනතුරු අත්බැව, n. (අත් E. ආත්ම, බැව state), the very next living state, the next life. මීට පසු ජීවිතය.

අන්‍ය භාවය, n. another state or condition; B. another life.

අනාකූලකරනවා, v. t. to disentangle, simplify, make clear, වියවුල් අරිනවා; disembarrass, වියවුලෙන් මුදවනවා.

අප කීර්‍තතිකරනවා, v. t. to defame, calumniate, malign, vilify, කෙලහනවා, අගුණකියනවා.

අමා දිය, අමා පැන්, n. life-giving water, nectar; sweet water, මිහිරි වතුර.
