අප යානයකරනවා, අප යානයවෙන‍වා, v. to go away, recede, retire, අහක්ව යනවා &c.

අභි නිෂ්ක්‍රමණය, n. going out, retiring (as an ascetic from the world), තපස් පිණිස නික්ම යාම.

අභි නිෂ්ක්‍රමණයකරනවා, v. to go out, retire from (the world), නික්මයනවා, පැවදිවෙනවා.

අස්වෙනවා, v. i. to be arranged or tidied; be set aside, retire or withdraw from.

ඉවත්ව යනවා, v. i. to go away or aside, retire, අහක්වයනවා.

නිෂ්ක්‍රම·පාරමිතාව, n. observance of the duty of retirement from the world, asceticism, ගිහි ගේ අත්ඇර සිටීම, තාපසභාවය.

නෛෂක්‍රම්‍ය·පාරමිතාව, n. the ordinance or observance of asceticism. Buddha is set forth as the great example in this respect, having forsaken all his royal luxuries and retired into solitude, where, after six years of religious austerities and meditation, he attained Buddhahood. පරාප, n. (පර away, අප or ආප water), place from which water has retired, වතුර පහවූ තැන.

පාරලී·වනය, n. (පාරලී elephant, වනය forest), the name of a forest to which Buddha retired when he failed to settle a dispute among his priests, and where his wants were supplied by an elephant.

බුහුටි·නැති, a. not audacious or bold; retiring, diffident, modest.

රාහුළ, n. name of Gautama Buddha's son, born before he retired from the world.

සිවුරුඅරවනවා, v. t. to disrobe a monk or cause him to retire from monastic life.
