උල්කරනවා, v. t. to sharpen to a point, bring to a point; තොල් ...... to pout the lips.

ත, n. The first of the dentals or fourth class of consonants. Its sound is that of th sharpened, as a foreigner unaccustomed to the sound would pronunce it in the word This, viz. about half way between Tis and This.

තීක්‍ෂණකරනවා, v. t. to sharpen, make acute, තියුණුකරනවා.

නිහුණු·ගානවා, v. to whet, sharpen, හණගානවා.

පත·කඩය, n. large stake sharpened for digging, digging-stake.

පිහියා·පීර, n. knife-file, sharpening-steel, steel.

මුවහත්කරනවා, මුවහත් or මුවාත තියනවා, v. t. to sharpen, whet.

ශිත, a. (ශි to make sharp or thin), sharpened, sharp, මුවහත්; thin, තුති, emaciated, කෙට්ටු; weak, දුර්‍වල.

හෝල්ලුකරනවා, v. t. to sharpen to a point, උල් කරනවා.
