අ කුඩා, a. not small, great, කුඩානැති, ලොකු.

අංකුට්ටා, n. a small prickly fish, stickleback fish.

අකුර, n. E. of අංකුරය: sprout, bud, දළුව; small stone, කුඩා ගල; pl. අකුරු.

අකුරකින් විදිනවා, v. to shoot with a small stone for augury. This is done by taking stones between the two fore-fingers and projecting them against the bark and leaves of trees and then predicting coming events according to the marks made by the stones.

අගල්ආදාර, a small tree or shrub bearing large flowers, Adhatoda Vasica (Acanth.), ආඩාතෝඩා.

අජාදනී (අජ අදනි), lit. goat food, a small species of prickly nightshade.

අනු තර, a. (er. for අණුතර) very small: as අනු තරපාපය trifling sin.

අනු දිව, n. sub-iband or small iband, කුඩා වීපය, දුපත.

අල්ප තනු, a. small-bodied, bight, diminutive, ශරීරයෙන් කුඩා
