ඇට්ටකුණාවෙනවා, v. i. to be parboiled &c.

ඇවිණිය, n. shop, boutique, mart, කඩේ.

ඇසිරවීම, v. n. of අසුරුවනවා: piling up &c.

ඇසිල්ලකින්, ad. in a twinkling, instantly.

ඇඳිනීම, v. n. of අඳුනනවා: recognizing, recognition, being acquainted with.

ඇ, n. The third vowel of the alphabet, though in some grammars and vocabularies this and the next are placed last of all. Its sound is a modification of අ, and like the sound of a in fat, bat, mat. Its non-initial form is (ැ) following the consonant it vocalizes, as කැබ්, cab.

ඇජරා, ඇදුරා, n. E. for ආචාර්‍ය්‍යයා: teacher, ගුරුවරයා.

ඇදගන්නවා, v. t. to draw to or in, pull, attract, allure; absorb (a liquid); draw or convey (in carts).

ඇතිරෙනවා, v. i. to spread out, unfold; pret. ඇතිරුණා.

ඇගිලිය, n. ditch, gutter, taench, අගල.
