මාරයා, n. god of destruction, විනාශකදෙවියෝ; chief of the demons, the great opponent of Gautama; on the day when Gautama was about to attain Buddhaship Māra attacked him with a great host of demons in order to prevent the attainment, but Buddha vanquished them all.

මේනොව්ව, n. prosperity, excellence, happiness, ශුභය, යසය.

මසූරිය, n. small-pox, වසූරිය,මහලෙඩ.

මිරිකා අරිනවා, v. t. to squeeze out, express.

මන්ත්‍රි·ධූරය, n. function of counsellor, counsellorship, senatorship.

මෙර, n. vinous or spirituous liquor, intoxicant, රහමෙර, සුරාව; the Mountain Meru, මහමෙර; rock, පර්‍වතය; mirage, මිරිඟු.

මුල·ගන්‍ධ, n. fragrant root.

මාර්‍ගය, n. road, path, passage; fig. way, means as the four stages or states leading to Nirvāna.

මාහැඟිකම, n. preciousness &c., මහත් අනගිකම.

මෘත්තීකා·පාණ්ඩුව, n. jaundice, said to arise from eating earth or clay.
