යවහන්, n. the combination of ය, ව, හ, න්: when any of these letters is the final letter of the lines of a stanza it is considered the rule that the penultimate letter also should be the same in all four lines.

යමක·ප්‍රාතිහාර්‍ය්‍යය, n. twin or double miracle, දෙයාකාර ආශ්චර්‍ය්‍යය: a power said to have been possessed by Buddha to cause a stream of fire to issue from one pore of his body (ලෝම සිදුරකින්), and a stream of water from another at one and the same time, and that to prove his miraculous power to the නිගණ්ඨ or naked mendicants be caused such streams to issue together from his eyes, ears and nostrils. The power to work these miracles was the result of his having accomplished තේජෝකසීණ and අපෝකසිණ.

යුදෙව්වා, n. Jew.

ය·ගුල, n. (ය අඟුල), iron bar or bolt, යකඩ පොල්ල or අගුල.

යම, v. imp. of යනවා: col. for යමු, let us go, addressed to one person, යමව් addressed to more than one.

යතනය, n. See යතනය.

යටත්කම, n. humbleness &c., humility, condescension.

යැවීම, v. n. of යවනවා; sending (to the third person or place).

යන්න, n the thing so and so: used to specify a thing, e. g. the letters of the alphabet, as මයන්න, the letter ම: see යනු.

යශෝ·විභුතිය, n, fame and splendour, කීර්‍තතිය.
