යටත්·පහත්කම, n. humility &c.; lowness (socially).

යක්‍ෂ·ධූප, n. resin, දුම්මල; turpentine, E. S. So-called because it is used as incense in devil-ceremonies and exorcism, the perfume being supposed to be agreeable to the demon and tend to propitiate him.

යැපෙනවා, v. i. to suffice, be enough, සෑහෙනවා; pret. යැපුණා; v. n. යැපීම.

යෙදෙනවා, v. t. of යොදනවා: to become formed, form; comport with, befit; to be engaged in, occupied with. It is also a verb aux. with other verbs in the infinitive, as ඕහු ලියුම ලියන්ට යෙදුණ, It occurred that he wrote the letter or he did write the letter; sp. used to unite a number of coordinate verbs, as ඔහු මේක කරන්ටත් ලියුම ලියන්ටත් යෙදුණ, he both did this and wrote the letter; pret. යෙදුණ; u. n. යෙදීම.

යවස, n. meadow grass, පිට්ටනි තණකොළ.

යාත්‍රාව, n. going, proceeding, යාම, sailing, voyage, මුහුදෙන් යාම; vessel, නැව,ඔරුව, &c.

යගණ, n. metrical foot having the first syllable short and the last two long, bacchic.
