සම්බවෙනවා, v. i. to meet, light upon, find; receive (a letter &c.).

සම්කරුවා, n. worker in leather, tanner, currier, චර්‍මකාරක; shoemaker, සපතේරුවා.

සං·වේගය, n. apprehension anxiety, concern, flurry, භය සිතීම, කනගාටු වීම.

සං·හරණය, සං·හාරය, n. destruction, විනාශ කිරීම, විනාශය; restraining, වැලැක්වීම; abridgment, කොටකිරීම, සංග්‍රහය;assemblage, රැස.

ස, prefix for සහ and sometimes for සං: with, together with, accompanying; also for සය, six.

සරිකරනවා, v. t. to make like, compare, සමාන කරබලනවා.

සමප්‍ර·දානය, n. gift, දිමනාව, තෑග්ග.

සතර·පූර්‍ව·නිමිති, n. pl. the four great pre-indications which the Bodhisat saw when driving to the pleasure garden and which led him to determine to become an ascetic and attain Buddhahood, viz. a sick man, a decrepit old man, a corpse and a monk.
