අටඟ මග, n. (අට, අග portion, section), the eightfold way to Nirvāna, i. e. the way embracing eight sections, viz. — 1. සම්‍යක් දෘෂ්ටිය, right view, orthodoxy. 2. සම්‍යක් සංකල්පනාව, right volition or determination. 3. සම්‍යක් වචනය, right speech. 4. සම්‍යක් කර්‍මන්තය, right action. 5. සම්‍යක් ආජීවය, right living or livelihood. 6. සම්‍යක් ව්‍යායාමය, right effort. 7. සම්‍යක් සමෘතිය, right remembrance or contemplation of the past. 8. සම්‍යක් සමාධිය, right meditation.

අරූපවන්තයා, n. ugly or deformed person, ආජී වයා, විකලාංගයා.

ආජ, ආජ්‍යය, n. clarified butter, ghee, ගිතෙල්.

ආජානේය අශ්වයා, ආජානේය, n. high-bred horse, steed, උතුම් අශ්වයා.

ආජානේයයා, a. high-bred (as a horse).

ආජිවකයා, n. naked religious mendicant: see අජිවකයා.

ආජීව, a. straight, කෙලින්, සෘජු; honest, deceitless, අවංක.

ආජීව පාරි ශුද්ධ ශීලය, n. (පරිශුද්ධ), the practice of making a livelihood honestly and living purely.

ආජීවනය, ආජීවය, n. livelihood, ජීවිකාව, රක්ෂාව.

භෝජාජානේයයා, n. (භෝජ Patna, ආජා), a well-bred horse of Patna.

රූපාජීවාව, n. (රූප body, ආජීවා who lives by), harlot, වෙසඹුව.

ශස්ත්‍රාජීවයා, n. (·ආජි:), one who lives by arms, soldier, warrior, හේවායා.

සම්මා·ආජිවය, (P. ආජිවො) n. right living, correct or just profession or livelihood obtained without destroying life or doing other wrong.

සුද්ධාප්වය, n. (සුද්ධ ආජිවය), holy living or livelihood, viz. subsistance obtained without incurring demerit by taking life &c.
