අ සර්‍වඥ, a. non-omniscient, සර්‍වඥනැති, සියල්ල නොදන්න.

අධි වචනය, n. name, appellation or title, නාමය, සංඥනාමය.

අර්‍ථ විඥනය, n. knowledge or understanding of, meaning: one of the six sciences called වේදාංග.

උඩත, n. ignorant or foolish person, අඥනයා.

උදය වැය නැණ, n. E. of උදයව්‍යයඥනය: lit knowledge of rising and declining, viz. of becoming and ceasing to be, වීමද නැතිවීමද දන්නා ඥනය.

චක්‍ෂුවිඥනය, n. perception by the eye, sight, vision, දැකුම, දැකීම දැනගැනිම.

චේතනා·ශක්තිය, n. intellectual faculty or power, ඥනශක්‍තිය.

පංච·ස්කන්‍ධ, n. pl. the five divisions or constituents of man: රූපස්කන්‍ධය &c., viz, රූපය, the body; වේදනාස්කන්‍ධය, feeling, perception; සංඥාස්කන්‍ධය, bare recognition or apprehension; සංස්කාරස්කන්‍ධය, moral or mental state, as of covetousness or doubt &c. to the number of fifty different states; විඥනස්ක න්‍ධය, knowledge, consciousness. The five are divided into two parts, නාම and රූප, of which four ස්කන්‍ධ, portions, belong to නාමය or the mind.

පංචාභිඥ, n. pl. the five supernatural powers of Rahats: සෘධීප්‍රභේදඥනය, knowledge of supernatural powers; දිව ඇස, divine eye, which sees objects at any distance; දිවකන, divine ear, which hears sounds at any distance; පරචිත්තවිජානනඥනය, knowledge of the hearts of others; පෙරජාති දැනීම, knowledge of past lives; see අභිඥව.

පර·චිත්ත·ඥනී, n. one who knows the heart or mind of others: ap. of Buddha; Rahat or B. saint, රහත්කෙනෙක්; a god, දෙවියෙක්.

පරම·ඥනාවස්ථිතයා, n. (·අවස්ථිත), one who has the highest knowledge, mystic.

පරම·වි‍‍‍‍ඥනාථි, a. transcendental; Er. Theosophic.

මාර්‍ග·ඥනය, n. knowledge of the four paths or or states leading to Nirvana.

ස·විඥනක, a. (ස with), having perception, sentient, conscious, national, intellectual, දැනීම or ඥානයඇති.
