අ පක්ෂ, අ පක්ෂපාත, a. impartial, neutral, අ පාර්‍ශවගති; adverse or unfavourable, විරුඬවූ.

අද්‍රි තනයා, n. lit. mountain-daughter, viz. daughter of Himālaya: ap. of Durgā, පාර්‍වතී.

අපාර්‍ථය, n. what is unmeaning &c., නිරර්‍ථකදේ.

අල්පාර්‍හ, a. (අල්ප අර්‍හ), worth little, ටිකක් වටිනා, වඩා නොවටින.

උමයංගනාව, උමයඟන, උමා, උමාකත, උමාදේවි, n. names of the goddess Pārvati or Durga, පාර්‍වතී, දුර්‍ගා.

එකත් පස්ව, එකත්පසෙක,ad. (පස්, පසෙක fr. පාර්‍ශව), moving to one side, standing on one side, (sp. out of deference), පැත්තකට වී.

ගංගා දේවී, n. the goddess Ganges or Pārvati wife of Siva, පාර්‍වතී.

ගණේශ, n. (ගණ companies or classes, ඊශ Lord), the god of wisdom, son of Siva and පාර්‍වතී. His image in H. temples is that of a short, fat man with an elephant's head. He is appealed to and worshipped as the remover of obstacles in all undertakings and compositions. He is chief of the various classes of subordinate deities who are Siva's attendants.

ගිරිජා, n. fem. mountain-born female: ap. of දුර්‍ගා alias පාර්‍වතී.

ධනෝපාර්‍ජනය, n. (ධන උපා:), acquisition of wealth, වස්තු හම්බකෙරීම.

නග·නන්‍දනී, n. lit. mountain-daughter; ap. of Durgā, wife of Siva, as being in one of her characters the daughter of Himālaya, and for the same reason named also පාර්‍වතී.

නිෂ්පාර්‍ශව, a. impartial, අපක්‍ෂ, පාර්‍ශවනැති.
