අ පාර, a. (අ priv., see පාරය), having no opposite shore, shoreless, වෙරළක් නැති, boundless, unlimited, නිමක් නැති, අනන්ත.

අ විකාර, a. unperverted, නොපෙරළුණු; undistracted, ව්‍යාකුල නැති; changeless, immutable, වෙනස්නොවන.

අ විපරීත, අ විපර්‍ය්‍යාස, a. unperverted, unreversed, uninverted, පෙරළීනැති; not perverse, අගතිනැති.

අක් සුන්, a. lopped or broken at the end, අග කැඩුණු; rough, fierce, රළු.

අධෝ මුඛ, a. down-looking, downcast, with face or mouth downward, මුහුණ or කට යටි අතටඇත්තාවූ, inverted, පෙරළන ලද; procumbent, මුණින් තලාවූ.

අධෝ මුඛකරනවා, v. to turn one's face down, look down. පහත බලනවා; invert (a vessel &c.), පෙරළනවා.

අභයා, see අරළු.

අමරළා, n. name of a fish.

අමෘතා, lit. immortal: see අරළු and රසකිඳ.

අරළු, yellow myrobalan, Terminalia Chebula, of which seven varieties are distinguished (Combret.).

අරළුගෙඩිය, n. fruit of the aralu, a kind of gall-nut.

අරළුව, n. root descending from a branch of the banyan tree.

අව්‍යථා, see අරළු.

අෂ්ට විධ පාන, n. pl. B., the eight kinds of beverage allowed to priests, viz. that made from මීපැණි, මුද්‍රිකඵල, බොරළුදමනු, උපුල්අල, ඇට කෙසෙල්, මස් කෙසෙල්, අඹ, and දඹ: see each in its place. The juice of these is to be mixed with water.

ආ වර්‍තතනිය, a. that should be turned, converted, reversed or repeated, හැරෙවුව—&පෙරළිය —යුතුවූ &c.
