අටඟ මග, n. (අට, අග portion, section), the eightfold way to Nirvāna, i. e. the way embracing eight sections, viz. — 1. සම්‍යක් දෘෂ්ටිය, right view, orthodoxy. 2. සම්‍යක් සංකල්පනාව, right volition or determination. 3. සම්‍යක් වචනය, right speech. 4. සම්‍යක් කර්‍මන්තය, right action. 5. සම්‍යක් ආජීවය, right living or livelihood. 6. සම්‍යක් ව්‍යායාමය, right effort. 7. සම්‍යක් සමෘතිය, right remembrance or contemplation of the past. 8. සම්‍යක් සමාධිය, right meditation.

චිත්‍ත·සං·හතිය, n. variety or collection of thoughts, reverie, සිතිවිලි රාශිය, සමාධිය.

පංච·බල, n. pl. the five powers: belief, ශ්‍රඬාව; effort, වීර්‍ය්‍යය; intellect, සතිය or සිහිය; religious meditation, සමාධිය; wisdom, ප්‍රඥාව.

ඵල·සමාධිය, n. (ඵල result, gain, සමාධිය medi- tation, composure), mental composure arising from the performance of religious duties and from religious attainments, or meditation on results.

බෝධ්‍යංග, n. pl. (බෝධි අංග), Buddha attributes or requisites for attaining Buddhaship, viz. the following seven: සමෘතිය, remembrance, ධර්‍මවිචය, investigation of religious truth, වීර්‍ය්‍යය effort, ප්‍රීතිය joy, ප්‍රශ්‍රබ්ධිය mental tranquillity, සමාධිය concentrated meditation, උපේක්‍ෂාව impassiveness, stoicism.

සප්ත·බෝඨාංග·ධර්‍මය, n. the seven kinds of 'Wisdom' or 'Knowledge Requisites' of a B. monk: viz. සමාධි, ස්මෘති, or සති, ධර්‍මවිචය, වීර්‍ය්‍ය, ප්‍රීති, ප්‍රශබ්ධි, උපේක්‍ෂා.

සමාධ්මාත, a. (සං emp., see ආධ්මාත) inflated, flatulent.

සමාධානය, සමාධිය, සමාධි·යෝගය, n. (සං with, ආ to, ධා to hold), keeping the mind and thoughts intent on, composure, reverie, concentrated and devout meditation, see ධ්‍යාන ය; religious vow, බාරය; reconciling, සමා දානකිරීම.

සමාධි·ස්ථ, a. (ස්ථ continuing), continuing in meditation, meditative, ධ්‍යානපර, මෙනෙහි කිරීමෙහි යෙදීසිටින.

සමාධිවෙනවා, v. i. to be pleased, gratified, satisfied, සතුටුවෙනවා.
