අ කුප්‍යය, n, (කුප්‍ය base metal), unalloyed metal, viz. gold or silver, රන් රිදී.

අ ගහිත, අ ගහීත, a. (ගහිත legal), illegal, අනඩු, unallowable, අකටයුතු; false, බොරු.

අ ඵලකම, අ ඵලතාව, අ ඵලත්වය, n. unfruitfulness &c., ඵලනැතිකම &c., fallowness, පුරන් කම.

අ මිශ්‍ර, අමිශ්‍රිත, a. unmixed, unalloyed, uncompounded, simple, මිශ්‍ර නැති.

අගරු, අගුරු, n. agal wood, aloe wood, agallochum.

අගස්ති, අගස්ත්‍ය, n. a rishi so named, who, according to mythology, was born in a water jar, once swallowed the ocean, but voided it again, and is the regent of the star Canopus.

අජ ගරයා, n. (අජ sheep, ගර swallowing,) python or boa-constrictor, rock-snake, python molurus, පිඹුරා.

අති පිරිසිදු, a. very pure, most holy, hallowed, ඉතා ශුඬ.

අනු දත්, a. E. of අනුඥාත: (අනු with, දත් known), who consented or allowed; permitted, sanctioned, එකඟ වුණ, ඉඩදුන්.

අනු දත්තා, a. who consents or allows, එකඟ වෙන; permitted &c., අවසර දී තිබෙන.

අනෝදා, marsh-mallow, Abutilon asiaticum (Malv.).

අර්‍කය, n. crystal, පළිගුව; copper, තඔ; swallow-wort, වරාගස: see අර්‍ක.
