අ භේදෝපචාරය, n. (අභේද උපචාරය), undivided usage, double application, metonymy. E. S.

අඟුල් පොල්ල, n. double-canoe bar, pole that fastens the canoes together.

අඟුළ, n. double canoe, canoes fastened together with a floor laid on them; inch (see අඟල).

අට පිරිකර, n. pl. the eight accoutrements or articles required by a B. P., viz. bowl, under-garment, single robe, double robe, girdle, knife or razor, needle and water-strainer: පාත්‍රය, අඳනය, තනිපටසිවුර, දෙපටසිවුර, පටිය, පිහිය, ඉඳිකටුව, පෙරහන්කඩ.

අතඋලුක්කරනවා, v. to close the hand, double or clinch the fist, raise the fist.

ඉරට්ට, a. even in number, not odd, double.

උභතෝ කොටිකතාව, n. double-edgedness; state of a dilemma.

උභතෝ කෝටික, a. (උභතෝ fr. උභතස් on both sides, කෝටික edged), double-edged. දෙමුව හත්; log. cutting bothways, involving a dilemma, කොන්දෙකක් ඇති (තර්‍කය).

උභය කුලය, n. double caste or descent, viz. the same caste from both father and mother.

උභයාර්‍ථ a. (අර්‍ථ), of double meaning, equivocal, තේරුම් දෙකක් ඇති.

උරුක්කරනවා, v. to menace, threaten, (by gesture); මිට උරුක්..., to double the first.

උළුක්කරනවා, v. මිට උ... … to double the fist, menace (by gesture).

ඒකාර්‍ථ වාක් යුගමය, n. double expression of the same sense, hendiadys. E. S.
