ගන්නවා, v. t. to take, accept; buy. Used also with the p. pl. of another verb to express the reflexive sense or that the action is done to or for one's self or mutually, as ඔහු ගෙයක් සාදාගත්තා. He built himself a house; ඔවුන් කථාකරගත්තා. They conversed together; pret. ගත්තා; p. pl. ගන or ගෙන; v. n. ගැනීම.

තමතමන්, තමතමුන්, refl. pron. pl. but distri butively: they severally, each himself.

තමා, refl. pron. he; තමාම he himself; තමාගේ his; තමාට to him &c.; තමාගේම his own; තමාටම to himself &c.

පණ්ඩිත·මානියා, පණ්ඩිතම්මන්‍යයා, n. one who thinks himself learned, pedant.

පත්·කඩ, n. (පත් leaves or leaf, කඩ), cloth or skin on which B. P. prostrates himself for worship or on which he site for religious ceremonies.

ම, suf. emphatic particle, as ඔහුම he himself, මේකම this very thing.
