අ විශිෂ්ට, a. undistinguished, වෙන්නොකරනලද, ordinary, සාමාන්‍ය, පොදු.

අනුත්කෘෂ්ට, a. (අන් උත්කෘෂ්ට), not noble or exalted, උතුම් නොවන, common, ordinary, plain, සාමාන්‍ය, පොදු.

අභි ඥාත, a. ascertained, known, දැන‍‍‍ගනතිබෙව, දන්නාලද, අභිඥානය, අභිඥාව n profound or sp. or extraordinary knowledge, cognition, recognition, විශේෂ දැනගැන්ම or දැනීම; five supernatural acquirements of Rahats, viz. power to assume any form, to hear the feeblest sounds and see objects at any distance, to know the disposition and thoughts of others, to know the condition of any person in former existences.

ගිහි·සපුව, ගිහි·සැපය, n. enjoyment of ordinary or non-ascetic life, laic enjoyment.

නරකාදිය, n. lit. hell and such like, but it is the ordinary term for hell.

පෘථගජනයා, n. (පෘථක් apart), one standing apart from the higher religious aims and practices, an ordinary person of unsubdued passions; vile or ignorant person, wicked man, අඥානයා, දුෂ්ටයා.
