අතුරු පස, n. lunch, luncheon, tiffin, refection.

අතුරු පස ශාලාව, n. lunch-room, refectory.

අන්න, int. See, there, (referring to the third person or place).

අපරානතය, n. (අපර අනතය), the other extremity, the termination, the end, referring to the end of the quiescent or vacant Kalpa, opposed to පූර්‍වානතය.

අපරාපර්‍ය්‍ය, a. not without result, resultant: in B. refering to actions (කර්‍ම) which in due time receive what is due.

කෝකිලයා, n. black cuckoo, cuculus micropterus. It is much referred to in native poetry for its pleasant note.

තත්කාලය, n. the present time; that time, the time referred to.

පංගාඩම්කරනවා, v. t. to assign, allot, appoint, refer.

පාරමිතාව, n. crossing over, attainment; sp. the complete performance of B. ordinances as a prerequisite to Buddhaship. Each one of these, expressing the observance generally, is subdivided into උප, secondary, and පරමාර්‍ථ, paramount or supreme: expressing an inferior or pre-eminent observance of the duty, as දානෝපපාරමිතාව, referring to gifts of secondary or inferior kind, such as gold, silver &c., and දානපරමාර්‍ථ පාරමිතාව, to gifts of the highest kind, such as wife, children, one's own body &c. These make in all සමත්‍රිංශත් පාරමිතා, viz. a total of thirty පාරමිතා.

බ්‍රහ්ම·දණ්ඩී, n. anathema, curse, ශාපය. Bot, බ්‍රහ්ම·දත්ත, n. lit. Brahma's gift: name of a king of the Ikshwaku race, and much referred to in the Jatakas &c.

බේරුම්කාරයා, n. arbitrator, umpire, referee.

බෝධි·සත්‍වයෝ, n. hon. aspirant to Buddhaship: it generally refers to Gautama in his pre-Buddha existence, embryo Buddha.

මර්‍ම·ස්ථානය, n. joint-spot, සන්‍ධිස්ථානය; vital spot in the body, referring to places where injury is supposed to be fatal.

මුක්තාමුක්ත, a. (මුක්ත අමුක්ත), lit. -freed and not freed, loosed and not loosed: මුක්ත referring to weapons which are hurled, අමුක්ත to those which are wielded, not burled, as a javelin or sword.

රදා·ඇල්වී, a kind of hill-paddy (රන්, රන්වන්, golden, referring to the colour).
