ඉණ හැඳ, n. devil dancer's dress (or mask) to represent the demon.

කටපයාදිය, n. (ක, ට, ප, ය, ආදිය). A mnemonic system of letters nsed as numerals, කටපය being the first column, thus: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 ක ඛ ග ඝ ඬ ච ඡ ජ ඣ ඤ ට ඨ ඩ ඪ ණ ත ථ ද ධ න ප ඵ බ භ ම ය ර ල ව ශ ෂ ස හ ළ. Each letter in each column represents the figure under which it is placed. The above consonants must in reading be vocalized with vowels, though the vowels count for nothing. E. g., ගජකම, reading backwards=5 1 8 3.

චන්‍ද්‍ර·දාර, n. pl. lit, the moon's wives, viz. the twenty-seven daughters of දක්‍ෂා, who being married to the moon represent the twenty-seven lunar mansions.

චන්‍ද්‍රමෞලි, n. ap. of Siva, as represented by a crescent tuft or lock of hair on the crown of his head.

චිත්‍ර·ශඛණ්‍ඩිනයෝ, n. pl. seven sages, represented by the seven stars of the Great Bear.

ධ, n. The fourth letter of the dentals and aspirate of the preceding letter, represented by dh.

නක්‍ෂත්‍ර·මාලාව, n. necklace containing 27 pearls; table of the 28 asterisms in the moon's path, giving their names, positions and the signs by which they are represented.

නියෝජිතයා, නියෝජිතවරයා, n. one appointed, delegate, deputy, representative.

පංචානන, n. the five-faced or large-faced one: the lion, සිංහයා; ap. of Siva who is sometimes represented as a silver coloured man with five faces.

පර·වාච්‍ය, a. reprehensible, දෝෂරෝපණිය.

පරශූ·රාම, n. ap. of Vishnu in his sixth incarnation. He was son of the saint යමුද්ගනි, and came to punish and repress the violence of the military caste.

ප්‍ර·දර්‍ශනයකරනවා, v. t. to show, represent, දැක්වනවා.

ප්‍රති·පුරුෂ, a. representative, substitutional, vicarious.

භ, n. The fourth letter of the labials, and aspirate of බ, represented by bh.

මනු, n. celebrated H. legibator and saint, who is regarded as the representative man and father of the human race. In every Kalpa fourteen Manus appear successively and preside over the Universe, each one for the period of a මන්‍වන්තරය, which see.
