ඥානවන්තයා, n. intelligent or prudent person, sage.

ඥානේන්‍ද්‍රියය, n. (ඥාන ඉන්‍ද්‍රියය), organ of sense.

ඥාන·ශක්තිය, n. intellectual power, mental calibre, intellect.

ඥාන·දර්‍ශනය, n. vision by internal knowledge, transcendental or supernatural vision of the past, present, and future, as was possessed by Buddha &c., to be obtained by deep meditation on the lives of Buddha and other eminent saints.

ඥාන·දීපය, n. lamp of knowledge or wisdom, ඥානපහන.

ඥපිත, ඥප්ත, a. known, ascertained, දැනගන්න ලද.

ඥ, A letter compounded of the above and of ජ,= ජ්ඤ, but the ජ්is often dropped in or dianry pronunciation when it occurs as the inuitial letter of a word.
