මංචකය, මංචය, n. (ංච short for ඤ්ච); (fr. මච් to be elevated), elevated stage, scaffold or platform, මැස්ස; elevated shed for a watchman in the field, අටල්ල; bedstead, couch, sofa, ඇඳ; a throne, seat of honour, ගරු ආසනය.

මහා·භාරත, n. the name of a H. epic poem; so called, it is said, because it was found heavier than the four Vedas when weighed by the Rishis.
