යතිය, n. retraining, coftrolling, stopping, මැඩපවත්වාගැනීම; pause or stop in poetry.

යාච්ඤාවෙනවා, v. t. to be suppliant, to pray.

යෝනිසෝ·මනස්කාරය, n. careful thought, prudent consideration, පරික්‍ෂාසහිතව කල්පනා කිරීම: enlightened or philosophic attention or devotion of the mind (Childers).

යූථ·නාථයා, n. lord of the herd, chief-elephant of the herd, ගජේන්‍ද්‍රයා.

යජුර්‍වෙදය, n. (යජුස්වේදය), the Yajur Veda, one of the four Védas. It is divided into two parts, the black and the white, both of which are chiefly on religious rites, and its prayers are chiefly in metrical prose, යජුස්.
