වංශවත්කම, n. state of high caste, nobility.

වාර්‍තතාකාර ·ධූරය, n. business of reporting or informing, ආරංචි දැන්වීමේ නිලය.

වි·ප්‍රසන්න, a. (වි emp.), highly pleased, ඉතා ප්‍රසන්න, delighted, ප්‍රීතිමත්.

වි·යෝග·වාචකය, n. gram. a disjunctive, වෙන් කරන වචනය.

වෘකයා, n. (වෘක් to take), the taker, viz. wolf; jackal, නරියා; crow, කපුටා.

වධක·රාමුව, n. torture-frame, rack.

වෛධ, a. (විධි manner, rule), according to rule, normal, නියම විධියට එකඟවූ.

විනය·පිටකය, n. name of one of the B. sacred books, the second of the Three Pitakas relating entirely to the priests. It is divided into five main parts called respectively පාරාජිකා, ප‍චිති, සුළුවග, මහවග and පරිවාර, this last being a summary of the chief doctrines of the other four.
