විෂ්ණු, විෂ්ණුදෙවියෝ, n. (විශ් to enter, pervade), the second of the three chief H. deities, who‍ is said to be the preserver of the world. He has had many incarnations or Avatàrs, and in Krishna he is said to have been wholly incarnate.

වේත්‍රවතිය, n. the river Betwa, which unites with the Jumna below Calpi; name of an infernal river.
