විහිදෙනවා, v. i. to open,expand, spread, deploy, become diffused, radiate; pret. විහිදුණ.

වි·ධූත, a. (වි emp., ධු to shake), shaken, agitated, trembling, චලිත, වෙවුලන.

වන්‍දනාකාරයා, n. worshipper, religious pilgrim.

වලා·ඉදු, වලා·දන, වලා·දලය, n. (වල cloud, දලය flame), thunderbolt, electric current, හෙණය.

වි·වර්‍තතන, a. (වි reversed, වාත to be), going round, circumambulating (an altar &c. in worship), වටකරයන; revolving, කරකැවෙන.

වජ්‍රාසනය, n. (·ආ:), Buddha's diamond-throne, which sprung up at the root of the බෝගහ when he threw down eight handfuls of Kusa grass.

වාතාශය, n. (වාත ආශය), air-bladder, air-sac (of fishes).

වංගෙඩිය, n. large wooden mortar.

වල් මෑ, n. kindney bean or beans, a variety of phaseeolus max.

විනය·පිටකය, n. name of one of the B. sacred books, the second of the Three Pitakas relating entirely to the priests. It is divided into five main parts called respectively පාරාජිකා, ප‍චිති, සුළුවග, මහවග and පරිවාර, this last being a summary of the chief doctrines of the other four.
