විෂ්ණු, විෂ්ණුදෙවියෝ, n. (විශ් to enter, pervade), the second of the three chief H. deities, who‍ is said to be the preserver of the world. He has had many incarnations or Avatàrs, and in Krishna he is said to have been wholly incarnate.

වි·චාර·විද්‍යාව, n. science of investigation, of reasoning or logic, තර්‍ක ශාස්ත්‍රය.

වේණිය, n. the hair unornamented and gathered on the top of the head or behind into a loose braid or knot.

වට්ටෝරුව, n. list, catalogue; prescription, බෙහෙත් වට්ටෝරුව.

ව්‍යති·රික්ත, a. (·රිච් to divide), separated, separate, වෙන්වූ; withdrawn, අහක්කරනලද; distinct, වෙනම; individual, පුද්ගලික, ප්‍රභේද.

වක්·දිය, n. water let into the paddy fields, channel water.

වශය, n. wish, desire, කැමැත්ත; authority, අධි පතිකම; subjection, වසඟකම.

වාමී, n. fem. a she animal, she-ass, mare, she-elephant, ගෑනුසතා:කොටළුදෙන, අශ්වළෙම්බ, ඇතින්නී.

වත් කිරීම, v. n. outpouring, effusions performing religious duties.
