විට, n. time, occasion, කල, වතාව, with verbs, when, as ඔහු ගිය විට,, when he went; as ad. විටක් දෙවිටක් &c. once or twice,, on one or two occasions.

වි·ශසනය, n. (වී emp., ශස් to kill), killing, baughter; sabre, වකුටුකඩුව.

වේශ්වය, n. (fr. විශ් to enter), house, ගෙය.

වි·ක්‍ෂිණ, a. wasted, හීනවූ, ක්‍ෂයවූ, impaired, පිරි හුණු.

වි·ජය, n. (වි emp., ජි to conquer), victory, ජය; a sort of spear; ap. of king අර්ජුන and of යම, name also of that famous king of the ශාක්‍ය race who came to Ceylon with 700 followers, subdued the inhabitants, brought settlers from India and established the Sinhalese Monarchy; car of the gods, දිව්‍යරථය; twenty-seventh year of the Indian cycle of sixty-years.

වැඳ·වැටෙනවා, v. i. to bow and fall, viz. prostrate one's self in salutation or worship.

වයස්‍ය, a. contemporary, සමකාලික.

විවාහකරනවා, v. t. to marry, පාවාගන්නවා, E. S., කසාදබඳිනවා.

විසදය, n. explanation, විස්තරය.

විධය, n. method, form, rule, ආකාරය, විධිය; piercing, විදීම.
