වැහි·වතුර, n. rain-water, soft water.

වාත·මෘගයා, n. swift deer viz. antelope, සුළං මුවා.

වි·සර්‍ගකරනවා, v. t. (වි emp., සෘජ් to forsake), to abandon; අත්අරිනවා, reject, remove, පහ කරනවා.

වි·භීතිය, n. fearlessness &c., නිර්භීතිය.

ව්‍යථ්‍යමාන, a. painful, excruciating, වධවේදනා දෙන.

වස්වසනවා, v. i. (වස් the rains, වසනවා dwell), to sojourn during the rainy season. According to B. the monk has no settle home, but during the rains may remain with a householder. Whilst there it is usual for him to give religious instruction to the inmates and others who attend.

වි·නාසක, a. (වි priv., නාස nose), noseless, නාසයක් ඇති.

වදුරවිය, n. (වදුර අවිය), E. for වජ්‍රායුධය, which see; වදුරවි ap. of ශක්‍රයා as thunderer.
