අව තීර්‍ණවෙනවා, v. i. to descend &c.; become incarnate, දේහධාරීවෙනවා, ලොවපහළවෙනවා.

අංකය දමනවා, v. to put the number, to number, නොම්මරය ලියනවා or දමනවා.

අභි වර්‍දධිත, a. increased, improved, advanced, cultivated, වැඩිවූ, දියුණුවූ.

අවිෂය, n. what is unperceived or immaterial, නොදැනෙන දේ, ද්‍රව්‍යනොවන දේ.

අරු, pron. (අර ඌ) that fellow there; pl. අරූන්.

අඹරෝර, n. (අඹර, උදර) sky-dome, අහස් කුක්ෂිය.

අෂ්ටාර්‍ය්‍ය, a. (ආර්‍ය්‍ය), pert. to the eight excellencies, viz. the four paths and the four fruits thereof.

අන්තඃ කල්පය, n. a certain number of years in Buddhism: according to B. man's age increases by imperceptible degrees from ten years to an Asankhya (අසංඛ්‍ය) and then decreases in the same way to ten years: the period required for this is an Antahkalpa. See අසංඛ්‍ය.

අන්තරාවරණය, n. (ආවරණය), inner cover, bot. endocarp, ගෙඩිවල ඇතුල් කටුව.

අ ධර්‍මමිෂ්ඨයා, n. unrighteous person, &c., අයුක් තිය කරන්නා, දුශ්චරිතයා.
