ඉන්ද්‍රියාර්‍ථය, ඉන්ද්‍රිය විෂය, n. (අර්‍ථය), object of sense, as sound, taste &c.

ඉ, n. The fifth vowel of the alphabet; the third in Sanskrit, which has not the two preceding. Its sound is the fine sharp sound of i in pin; its non-initial form is (ි), called ඉස්පිල්ල head or top piece, placed above the consonant it vocalizes: as කි,මි පින්, ki, mi, pin.

ඉලිප්පෙනවා, v. i. to rise to the surface, float; protuberate, නෙරාතිබෙන; pret. ඉලිප්පුණා.

ඉඟිකරනවා, ඉඟිමරනවා, v. to wink or nod as a hint.

ඉතිරිතර, a. mutual, pert. to each.

ඉසිරෙනවා, v. i. See ඉහිරෙනවා.

ඉදින්, ad. and conj. See ඉතින්.

ඉදි, a. straight, ඇදනැති; also for ඉදින්.

ඉඟුගහ, n. sugar-cane, උක්ගහ.
