ඒකාශ්‍රය, n. association with one only, එක්කෙ නෙක් ආශ්‍රයකිරීම.

ඒකාක්ෂර, a. uniliteral, එක අකුරක්ම ඇති.

ඒක දන්තයා, ඒක දළයා, n. single-tusker: ap. of Ganésa (ගණේශ) who lost a tusk in contest with කාර්‍තතිකේය.

ඒකත්වකරනවා, v. t. to unify, එකසත්කරනවා, එක්කරනවා.

ඒක ශ්‍රැත, a. heard only once.

ඒක පදික මාර්‍ගය, n. footpath, පයින්ම යන මග, පටුමග.

ඒකඩ රූපී, a. goat-shaped, capriform, එළු රූපා කාරවූ.

ඒක දේහ, a. single, තනිවූ; well-formed, ශෝ භන රූප ඇති.

ඒඩකාකාර, a. goat-like, goatish, එළු ආකාරවූ.

ඒ, n. The twelfth letter of the alphabet. Its sound is that of the preceding vowel lengthened: as a in Fade, but somewhat broader, the initial sound of it being maintained throughout, without changing into i as the English sound does: consequently in English words it would seem somewhat inelegant. Its non-initial form is the same as the preceding, but lengthened by the addition of /?/ or ි to the consonant, as කේ ké (cay), මේ mé (may).
