අල පත, n. bulb-shoot, shoot of the yam.

අ විද්‍යාව, n. absence of knowledge, ignorance, නොදැනීම, නොදැනුම්කම.

අ ප්‍ර සහ්‍ය, a. (සහ්‍ය endurable), unendurable, insufferable, intolerable, දරන්ටම බැරිවූ, අසහ්‍ය.

අෂ්ට විධ පාන, n. pl. B., the eight kinds of beverage allowed to priests, viz. that made from මීපැණි, මුද්‍රිකඵල, බොරළුදමනු, උපුල්අල, ඇට කෙසෙල්, මස් කෙසෙල්, අඹ, and දඹ: see each in its place. The juice of these is to be mixed with water.
