අ ඥාන ගෝචරය, n. what folly or ignorance approves, foolish thing.

අ පරික්ෂාකාර, -කාරී, a. uninvestigating, inconsiderate, incautious, heedless, rash, පරීක්ෂා නොකරන, අප්‍රවේසම්.

අ ප්‍රපතන, a. not falling, bot. persistent (leaves &c.), නොවැටෙන.

අ බන්ධු, a. without relatives, friendless, නෑයන් නැති, අසරණ.

අ බන්ධුතාව, n. state of having no relatives, friendlessness.

අක්ෂර ජීවකයා, n. one who lives by writing, scribe, clerk, ලිපිකරුවා.

අකුරකින් විදිනවා, v. to shoot with a small stone for augury. This is done by taking stones between the two fore-fingers and projecting them against the bark and leaves of trees and then predicting coming events according to the marks made by the stones.

අගු බලනවා, v. to spy, look or listen under the eaves.
