අ නිලයා, n. Æolus, god of the wind: there are 49 minor deities called අනිල;; pl. අනි‍ලයෝ.

අ මර්‍ත්‍යයා, n. immortal one, a deity, දෙවියෙක්.

අට දික් පතියෝ, or පාලයෝ, n. pl. the eight rulers or guardian deities who preside over the eight parts of the world.

අරක් දෙවියා, n. tutelary deity.

ආදිත්‍යයා, n. a deity, දෙවියෙක්; the sun, ඉර, සූර්‍ය්‍යයා.

කුමුදයා, n. elephant supporting the southwest quarter of the world; infernal deity, Titan, දානව.

කුල දේවතාවා, n. god of the caste or family, tutelary deity.

කෘෂ්ණ, n. Krishna, who is supposed to have been a real and complete incarnation of Vishnu, and quite distinct from Vishnu's ten other avatārs or incarnations. He is said to be a mild and beneficent deity. Ap. of Arjuna, charioteer of the sun.

ගණේශ, n. (ගණ companies or classes, ඊශ Lord), the god of wisdom, son of Siva and පාර්‍වතී. His image in H. temples is that of a short, fat man with an elephant's head. He is appealed to and worshipped as the remover of obstacles in all undertakings and compositions. He is chief of the various classes of subordinate deities who are Siva's attendants.

චන්‍ද්‍රයා, n. the moon, හඳැ; also personified as a deity.

ජගත්පතියා, n. supreme of the world: deity; king; දෙවියා &c., රජ.

දානවාරි, n. (·අරි), a god or deity as opponent of the Asuras, අසුරරිපු.
