අ වර්‍ජජිත, a. unforsaken, unrelinquished, අත් ‍නාරිනලද.

අත අරිනවා, v. to open the hand; loose one's hand, viz. let go one's hold; v. t. to release or let go from one's grasp; forsake, අ‍ත් අරිනවා.

අත් අරිනවා, v. t. to abandon, forsake, leave, relinquish; leave out, omit.

අත්ඇරදමනවා, v. t. to abandon utterly, forsake, cast off.

අත්ඇරයනවා, v. t. to leave behind, quit, forsake.

ගෘහාභිනිෂ්ක්‍රමණය, n. (හ·අභි:), house-leaving, forsaking domestic life to become an ascetic, ගිහි‍ගෙයින් නික්මයා: see අභීනිෂ්ක්‍රමණය.

ත්‍යාගියා, n. giver, දායකයා; abandoner, අත් අරින්නා; religious ascetic who forsakes all worldly things, තාපසයා.

ධුතු, a forsaken, අත්ඇරපු; shaken, agitated, සෙලවෙන, චලිත.

නෛෂක්‍රම්‍ය, a. that goes forth, that forsakes home and adopts aceticism, පැවදිවෙන්නාවූ. See නිෂක්‍රමණය.

නෛෂක්‍රම්‍ය·පාරමිතාව, n. the ordinance or observance of asceticism. Buddha is set forth as the great example in this respect, having forsaken all his royal luxuries and retired into solitude, where, after six years of religious austerities and meditation, he attained Buddhahood. පරි·හාරය, n. contempt, disrespect, නිග්‍රහය; forsaking, අත්ඇරීම example, ආදෘශය, illustration, නිදර්‍ශනය; honour, state, ඓශ්වර්‍ය්‍යය; also as පරිහරණය.

ප්‍ර·ද්‍රාව, n. (ද්‍රාව fr. ද්‍රැ to go, flee), flight, පලා යාම; forsaking, අත්ඇරයාම.

වර්‍ජජනය, n. deserting, forsaking, desertion, abandonment, අත් ඇරීම.

වි·රත, a. (වි emp., රත ceased), ceased, stopped. නැවතුණු; forsaken, අත්හරිනලද.

වි·වර්ජකයා, n. (වි emp.), one who forsakes, abandoner, deserter in general, අත්අරින්නා.
