අධි ගෘහීත, අධි ග්‍රහීත, a. seized, occupied, haunted (by a demon), අරක්ගත්.

අන‍වකාශ, a. (අන් අව:), without leisure or interval or space, always occupied, ඉඩනැති, නිමක්නැති.

ඒකාසනිකයා, n. occupier of one seat, viz. B. Priest.

ගෘහ·මූලිකයා, n. head of the house, occupier of the house, ගෙදර ස්වාමියා.

It is also a verb aux. with other verbs in the infinitive, as ඕහු ලියුම ලියන්ට යෙදුණ, It occurred that he wrote the letter or he did write the letter; sp. used to unite a number of coordinate verbs, as ඔහු මේක කරන්ටත් ලියුම ලියන්ටත් යෙදුණ, he both did this and wrote the letter; pret. යෙදුණ; u. n. යෙදීම.

ව්‍යාපෘත, a. (වි, ආ and rt. පෘ, be active, busy), occupied, busy, engaged in, නියක්ත, යෙදි.

වි·චිර්‍ණ, a. occupied, inhabited, වැසියන් ඇති, populous, ජනගහනවූ.

ශාක්‍ය·කුලය, n. (ශක් to be able), the Mighty or Sākya race, a people so called who took their rise by separating from the kingdom of lkshwāku or Okkāka, the first king of the Hindus. They followed the four sons of their king into banishment, and finding an unoccupied district built there as their capital the city Kapilavastu. From a prince of this race after many generations Gautama Buddha was descended.
