අනාගාමී මාර්‍ගය, n, non-re-incarnating path, viz. the third out of the four to Nirvāna. See චතුර්විධමාර්‍ග.

අ සමාසවත්, අසමාසික, a. gram. uncompounded.

අණයුරුව, අණව, අණවුරුව, n. the sea, ocean, මුහුද. See අර්‍ණවය.

අ සම්මුඛයෙහි, ad. in the absence of, whilst away from, ඉදිරිපිට නැතිවිට.

අෂ්ට ධර්‍මය, n. the law of eight, viz. the eight essentials for becoming a Buddha: 1 manhood, 2 the male sex, 3 merit, 4 to have seen a Buddha, 5 ascetic condition, monkhood, 6 virtuousness, 7 aspiration to Buddhahood, 8 a strenuous heart for it.

අස්වනාත, a. uncultivated, untilled, අස්වද්දා නැති.

අ සම්‍යකත්වය, n. inaccuracy, හරිනැතිකම; heterodoxy, වැරදි මතිය, මිථ්‍යාදෘෂ්ටිය.

අනාචාරියා, n. immoral person, profligate, &c., දුශ්‍චරිතයා.

අතීත කථාව, n. historical narrative, ancient story, පුරාණ කථාව.

අ ප්‍රත්‍යාඛ්‍යෙය, a. (අ priv., ප්‍රති against, ආ ඛ්‍යෙය affirmable), not to be denied or refuted, undeniable, irrefutable, නැතැයි කිය නොහැකිවූ (කාරණ).
