යාගු, n. thick gruel, porridge, උකු කැඳ.

යෝගියා, n. devotee, recluse; follower of the Yòga philosophy.

යවට, n. iron ball, යකඩ ගුළිය.

යාප්‍ය·යානය, n. relieving conveyance, viz, palanquin, දෝලාව.

යමක·ප්‍රාතිහාර්‍ය්‍යය, n. twin or double miracle, දෙයාකාර ආශ්චර්‍ය්‍යය: a power said to have been possessed by Buddha to cause a stream of fire to issue from one pore of his body (ලෝම සිදුරකින්), and a stream of water from another at one and the same time, and that to prove his miraculous power to the නිගණ්ඨ or naked mendicants be caused such streams to issue together from his eyes, ears and nostrils. The power to work these miracles was the result of his having accomplished තේජෝකසීණ and අපෝකසිණ.

යකඩ·කම්බිය, n. iron wire, iron rail (of railway &c.)

යනු, n. lit. that says or runs so and so, viz. that is or is called: used to specify things, as අයනු or අයන්න, කයනු, that which is called අ &c., viz. the letter අ &c., ඔහු ගියාය යනු, the (statement) that he went.

යමය, n. performance of religious rites for purification, ආගමේ පිළිවෙත් පැවැත්වීම; self-restraint, government of the passions, ක්ලේශ නවත්වා—මැඩපවත්වා-ගැනීම, සංයමය, වැලකීම.

ය·කෘද්‍රෝග, n. pl. (යකෘත් රෝග), liver diseases, hepatics, අක්මාවේ රෝග.
