යාල, n. a measure of capacity, a cart-load or twenty අමුණු of grain; twenty head of cattle.

යයි, conj. (ය final, and යි), that: as ඔහු ආවායයි කීවෙමි, I said that he came.

යනු, n. lit. that says or runs so and so, viz. that is or is called: used to specify things, as අයනු or අයන්න, කයනු, that which is called අ &c., viz. the letter අ &c., ඔහු ගියාය යනු, the (statement) that he went.

යෝනිසෝ·මනස්කාරය, n. careful thought, prudent consideration, පරික්‍ෂාසහිතව කල්පනා කිරීම: enlightened or philosophic attention or devotion of the mind (Childers).
